Markets for Medical & Healthcare

The Medical moulding market can be one of the most financially rewarding markets for plastics processors. 

Participation, however, is not for the faint hearted and comes at a price - the 1st rung of the ladder is typically ISO 13485, and then manufacturers can spend any amount of money investing in clean rooms of varying grades and other facilities. 

Production processes can become ever more client-supervised, set in stone - and costly; requiring hundreds of thousands of pounds to implement, document and maintain.  The stakes are high but so are the rewards. A number of leading trade moulders have certainly managed the transition.
